  • raising prostate cancer awareness, perhaps by growing a mo in November
  • talking to your doctor about the pros and cons of a PSA test if you’re in a risk group

Who is at risk?

Risk factors include

  • men – only males have a prostate gland and can be affected by the disease
    age – 98% of men diagnosed with prostate cancer are 50 years of age or older
  • family history – a man with a father or brother diagnosed with prostate cancer has an increase risk of developing the disease
  • lifestyle – unhealthy diet and lack of excercise is a possible contributing factor.
