"In August 2009 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I had a PSA of 4.6, and a Gleeson score of 7, which I understood to be aggressive. My Urologist, Dr. Charles Chabert, recommended Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy (LRP). In short, this meant the removal of the prostate gland through keyhole surgery, whilst sparing as much nerve as possible. This was the preferred option at he time, given my then age of 54.
